Cocoa is the leading agricultural export of the country and Nigeria is currently the world's fourth largest producer of cocoa, after Ivory Coast, Indonesia and Ghana. Nigeria produced approximately 238 thousand tons of cocoa beans in 2012/2013 and is expected to produce 270 thousand tons in 2020/2021, with Ondo, Cross River, Ogun, Akwa Ibom, Ekiti, Delta, Osun and Oyo being the major states that produce cocoa.

Salut tout le monde, je m'appelle Uzo Igweike (
@loomchocolate sur Instagram). Je vis à Abuja, au Nigéria. J'ai travaillé comme consultant SAP ERP pendant 12 ans avant de décider de me concentrer sur la fabrication du chocolat, ce qui m'a donné l'opportunité de créer et beaucoup plus de temps avec mes filles. Je travaille principalement avec du cacao nigérian et j'adore faire des barres d'inclusion avec des produits cultivés au Nigéria.
Iyin Akinlabi-Oladimeji
Salut à tous! Très heureux d'être ajouté à ce groupe. Je m'appelle Iyin Akinlabi-Oladimeji. Je suis nigérian, vivant actuellement aux États-Unis. J'ai découvert l'espace craft/bean to bar il y a un peu plus d'un an et je me suis inspiré !! Je travaille actuellement sur un projet de production de chocolat au Nigeria et de vente aux États-Unis. Vraiment excité de communiquer avec vous tous!
